Do you remember reading about or watching programs about famous explorers throughout history and wanting to visit some of the places they went to? Many of us have the wanderlust; some of us never act upon it. Others still do manage to visit many places, and have tales to tell.
Regardless of how much of an adventurer you are, if you have the wanderlust, you should check out Good Magazine’s Wanderlust website. They’ve superimposed colored-coded paths of “history’s greatest journeys, from Magellan to Kerouac,” on a map of the world. Click on one of the listed journeys, and the map will zoom into the target regions. Click the “Explore” that appears for a given journey, and you’ll get a sort of interactive geo-tagged slideshow of images and text, along important points of reference. Just something to maybe inspire the wanderlust in you.
